Delighted

We're delighted to finally join the blogging world!  I've been wanting to create a blog for a while, but I wanted to write with a purpose, and I couldn't decide what that purpose should be! This weekend I had a stroke of inspiration, thanks to Dillon. To preface: one thing about us is that we LOVE food, especially the sweet treats that come from the oven. The mention of making something tasty causes extreme elation! Well, this weekend was General Conference--we had the privilege to hear from the Prophet, Apostles, and other General Authorities of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints--so being the special weekend that it was, I decided to make some cinnamon rolls from scratch for Sunday morning breakfast. When I told Dillon my plans, he got all giddy, did a little dance, and exclaimed "this should be a Conference weekend tradition!!"  He's a genius. For two reasons.  First, because that's a fantastic idea, and second, because that's the theme I'd like to take on with this blog: Farnsworth family traditions.  I'm going to write about new traditions, old traditions, silly traditions, and serious traditions...as they happen, or as we think of them. It's such an exciting thing having a little family of our own and being able to take things we love, cherish, and enjoy, and creating a life full of traditions that embody these things.
